The Ark Cafe is a new hub that combines delicious food and drinks, with top of the range sensory and soft play equipment to provide the local community with a safe place to meet friends and let kid’s explore in a safe environment.
Frustrated by the lack of local activities for young children, owner Kyle Aldridge created The Ark Cafe to provide an exciting and stimulating space for kids to play whilst also providing a warm, friendly place for everyone to meet up with friends and make new ones!
With a lot of work, even more love and a few tears along the way, Kyle and the team at The Ark Cafe are excited to welcome you!
We run an online booking system for both our sensory room and soft play.
We do have walk in slots available, however these are limited.

We recommend you prebook a time slot for your visit, especially at weekends as we get very busy!
SENSORY ROOM
Growing brains want to explore, investigate, and have imaginative adventures! The Ark Cafe Sensory Room is all about encouraging the imagination and using the senses. It’s also about giving parents and carers somewhere to relax and unwind with excellent coffee and delicious food for all the family.
All our equipment is designed to get children thinking, imagining and using their senses. There are lots of interactive things to do and sensory equipment to enjoy and explore.
We have a maximum capacity of 8 people in the sensory area. Please be sure to book spaces for everyone entering the sensory room, adults included. Our sensory room is available to book for private hire at a cost of £30 for 1 hour. Get in touch to book.

SOFT PLAY
Our soft play area is perfect to let the kids blow off some steam by climbing, sliding and exploring. Our soft play area features a range of active equipment to keep them entertained whilst you sit down and enjoy a hot drink!
Suitable for ages 0 - 8 years.
We have a maximum capacity of 15 children in the soft play area.
Our soft play is available to book for birthday parties on Saturdays, get in touch to find out more.

BIRTHDAY PARTIES
Our soft play area is the most exciting place to have a party for little people. Let them run, climb, jump and explore!
Our ‘done for you’ party packages are stress free, simply turn up and we’ll take care of the rest!
Your buffet will be laid out in the soft play room. You can choose which fun and nutritious food items you want from our party menu, and we are happy to cater for special diets if this is discussed with us in advance.
We provide unlimited squash for all party guests.
Most suited to children aged 1-8 years.
We have slots available on Saturdays from 10am-11.45pm and 12.15pm-2pm.
Enjoy all the fun of the play, without having to share the play area with other people!
For up to 15 children, you can choose which food options to add to your booking, from party buffets, cream teas or ice cream sundaes.
